MedicAlert - 50 Years Protecing Canadians

Annual Holiday Craft & Bake Sale –
15 November, 9:00am – 1:00pm
Items for sale include baked goods and crafts including hand made birdhouses, knitted items and featuring Nikki Kagan’s Jewelry, artwork by Rita-Anne Piquet and Lillian O’Mear’s handy crafts. Raffle tickets are $2 or $5 for 3. Check out the list of prizes outside Fatima’s office. New this year is a 50/50 draw. Tickets are $2 and the winner will be announced at the Holiday Party.

Dance Session – 17 November @ 1:30pm
Led by Miriam Schacter, this will be a great opportunity for both members and families to move, shake and have fun. No dancing experience needed. The session will allow seated or standing positions and provide dance wellness for individuals with movement difficulties. Miriam is a trained dance-fitness choreographer, neuro/trauma-oriented psychotherapist-in-supervision and teacher for Dancing with Parkinson’s.

Our annual agency event gives members, family members, staff, board and volunteers a chance to celebrate the holiday season with a delicious pot luck dinner. Entertainment will be provided by our members as well as a special new staff trio … can you say ‘three-part-harmony?

 


2nd CANADIAN STROKE CONGRESS

 

The purpose of a Canadian Stroke Congress is to provide a uniquely Canadian forum in which participants reflecting “bench-to-bedside-to-community” perspectives of stroke can exchange ideas, collaborate, and learn about innovation in stroke prevention, treatment, and recovery.
